About Cancer
David Evans was born in Seattle in 2014 to a couple of musicians. His father was very abusive to his mother, and sometimes to him, but was one of those father figures who still managed to see himself as a role model, teaching him all sorts of things. He had a terrible outlook on life, and taught David that people are basically bad, and that in order to survive, you had to be willing to be tougher and stronger than everyone else. David's father killed himself when he was 14, which shattered their family.
Shortly after, David left his alchoholic mother behind and began working in the pornography business (bootlegging), and carrying a gun. He made money on the side selling pistols and ammo to the rising gangs, and did pretty well for himself in his twenties as he was even welling to sell his wares to the rising metahuman crowd. He didn't like or trust them any more than did the rest of the world, but then again, that was no reason to not do business.

Eventually, he began to realize that the gun trade was a very lucritive business. His personality, plus his lack of imagination has kept him from rising to any significant level of success. By the 2040's, his business began to be noticed by the mafia element, and he was forced further and further from their Seattle hotspots, and into the Redmond Barrens. He now allies himself with the Seattle Mafia, though he isn't actually a part of it, he still choses to cut his piece of the pie in Redmond.

Today, he works out of a club known as Devasio's (which he now owns), and employs about a dozen or so enforcers. He is very distrusting of people, especially to corporate types, but for some reason, he gets along exceptionally well with the rough and ruthless. Though the arms trade is his bread and butter, he now has involvement in a wide range of black market dealings.

Cancer got his name because it is believed that he is responsible for more deaths than cancer. Then again, it might be the raspy voice he has gotten from years of cigarette smoke.

Mason - Mason has been dealing with Cancer for about six years. The initial contact was during a run when one of his Sams needed to sell off a small load of acquired AK's. His Sam was a terrible negotiator, so he brought Mason unannounced, into his club. This did not go over well at first, but Mason managed to not get flustered by the bad intro, and managed to talk his way into a deal. They have dealt with each other once or twice a year since then, almost always to Cancer's better end, but there is still an awkwardness between them, most likely because of Mason's overly professional gait. Then again, Cancer makes alot of money, so he doesn't mind working with him.

Both he and Mason have mail accounts hidden in Shadowland to initiate any interests. Mason never just shows up after that initial meet.

Dude - The Dude found out about Cancer through an overly talkative mercenary that he ran with for a few years, and simply decided to show up on his door, asking if he could buy a machine gun. This did not go over well with Cancer's bodyguards, but admitidly, Cancer himself was amused. One of the bodyguards got offended by Dude's attitude at the initial visit, and drew on him. After Dude killed the bodyguard, he simply asked, "so how much if we beef up the gas venting on an AK98?" Somehow that worked.
Cancer and Dude have managed to work out about twenty runs since that day, and both feel that the arrangement is lucrative on both accounts.

Howler - Howler and Cancer have only worked together for the last six months, though in that time, they have made three run-deals. It started with a run was being put together by a group of Cancer's regulars who had recently lost their Rat Shaman, ironically to devil rats, and were in need for a replacement. Cancer made some calls, paid a few of his contacts for leads, and in the end, he found his way to getting Howler to meet him for a business dinner to talk numbers.
Howler doesn't particularly like the man, but the runs that were put together seemed straight forward, and he wasn't really put into any positions that questioned any of his own goals, so for now, it is an arrangement that seems to work for both of them.
Several of the runners that Howler worked with have managed to keep up with him, though there really hasn't been any serious loyalties created. When Cancer hopes to contact him, he passes the word through the grapevine and it usually reaches Howler within a couple days. Howler has earned enough cred with Cancer for it to be acceptable to show up or call him directly at his pub.
